Reveler’s Resorts Elevate Gaming Park Experiences

Two Bit Circus, a gaming park developer known for its “mini-amusement park” style of entertainment, will open a second gaming concept in Dallas under its new ownership moniker, Two Bit Entertainment Corp. The company will convert a chain of hotels, branded Reveler’s Resorts, that will offer “immersive, social experiences for families, friends, couples, and co-workers looking for team-building experiences.” The concept includes carnival-themed restaurants and bars, play zones, character interactions, magic shows, and more. Drive-Thru Of The Future Is Here

Franchisee Border Foods, which owns 230 Taco Bell locations, has redesigned one unit in the Twin Cities that the company claims will double the food production lines of a typical Taco Bell with a goal of fulfilling orders in two minutes. This redesign places the kitchen above four drive-thru lanes and one takeout window. A conveyor system lowers the food down to pick-up kiosks, allowing for three dedicated lanes for delivery drivers and phone pickup orders and a lane for traditional drive-thru orders. Learn More.

Robots Roaming Grocery Aisles?

Vallarta Supermarkets has partnered with Badger Technologies in five California locations in a pilot program that utilizes cloud-based, multipurpose robots to identify floor hazards such as liquid and powdered food spills. A sixth location will test a robot equipped with Badger Retail InSight for automated detection of out-of-stock products offering another set of eyes to manage floor inventory. Walmart Caters To Aging Adults, Expanding Its E-Commerce Customer Base

Avanlee announced that Walmart’s online grocery ordering services will now be available on the Avanlee Care app – tailored to caregivers of older adults. The app lets users order groceries through Walmart for delivery or pickup and allows them to monitor health and mood, coordinate care, track medication usage, and more. Users can make multiple in-app grocery shopping lists for different family members with calendar reminders and in-app messages. Find The Full Story Here.

Companies Shift To U.S. Can Sourcing To Reduce Costs

Rising aluminum prices and soaring international freight costs have pushed many companies to rethink the importation of aluminum cans. Monster Beverage CEO Rodney Sacks announced that the company is “working to offset ballooning freight costs and decrease reliance on the use of imported aluminum cans by sourcing more in the U.S. and repositioning finished inventory across its distribution network.” And Ball Corporation revealed the company is investing in new ways to support and increase domestic aluminum can production as a way to lower costs.
